Here are some of the things I do for clients:
Descriptors:
What are the 10 words that best describe how you want your customers to think about your company? I help you suss them out, and then infuse all of your communications with them. Equal parts aspirational and reflective, the Descriptors exercise helps you define the role you want to play in your customers' lives, and helps tell your story with authenticity and consistency in every point of contact.

Nooks & Crannies:
Every time your customers come in contact with you is an opportunity to further your brand's story. With Nooks & Crannies I take a comprehensive look at every place your customers might come across you out in the wild - your website, newsletters, packaging, confirmation emails, social media presence, sales collateral, email signature files, trade show displays, product fulfillment, your phone system and marketing tchotchkes all have your customers' attention at some point. I make sure you don't squander those moments, and use each one to remind your customers why they've chosen to do business with you in the first place.

Words that Sell Your Company and its Products:
I've always believed content you own is more powerful than media you rent. I'll create with and for you the content that tells your story - web copy, case studies, collateral, email newsletters, and whatever else we think will pull your customers closer to you.
- Ballpark cost: Sorry, varies too much. Email me and we'll try to pin it down.
Content Coaching:
Some content I can write for you, but the ongoing conversation you have with your customers has to be authentic. Responding to emails, writing a blog, engaging through social media all has to come from within the company - not just to be effective, but to be respectful of your customers' attention. So while I won't answer your phones or write your tweets, I will coach you through. It's not that I think teaching you to fish is better than giving (or rather selling, at a fair market rate) you a fish; it's that they are your customers, and only you can ever be uniquely qualified to communicate with them.

Coffee Mugs and other Staff Training:
Sure, I'll sell you a box of coffee mugs or water bottles with a catchy customer-focused slogan to help remind your team how important your customers are. But I do have some more involved educational programs as well. Webinars, in-house presentations and focused brainstorming sessions can all help align your team's goals, and make your customers love you as much as you love them.

Communications Sheepdogging (great for smaller businesses):
It's hard to keep communications on track and headed where they're supposed to go, when they need to get there. I can manage your communications for you and perform all the functional tasks required to keep your customers engaged - from setting up and managing an email program (including copywriting, subscription management and delivery) and/or Facebook fan page, to interviewing staff and customers for blog and website content, and working with you to find new ways to tell your story. Think of me as a marketing manager with a CMO's vision and experience.

The 1000 (great for smaller businesses):
How much more business would you enjoy if you had an audience of 1,000 customers and prospects listening to your story? For a growing business, that's real critical mass. I can help you get there, in all the channels that make sense to you: email, direct mail, social media. When you earn and tend an audience of this size, you end up with a sustainable business asset that pays off for years.
